The senator is receiving higher approval ratings from Republicans and lower ratings from Democrats.
Senator John Fetterman’s approval rating among Pennsylvania voters has increased to 51% with the growing support of Republicans. The senator’s support among Democrats is decreasing.
According to the polling from MorningConsult, Democratic support for Fetterman has decreased from 72% to 48%.
Republican support for Senator Fetterman has increased from 27% to 59%, according to MorningConsult.
Another poll by RealClearPennsylvania and Emerson College showed Fetterman’s approval rating at 39%.
The poll showed that 40% of Democrats approved of Fetterman, while 45% of Republicans did.
Fetterman has alienated Democratic voters over his strong support of Israel. He also voted for Trump administration officials, supported Republican immigration policies, voted with Republicans to reopen the government following a Democrat-initiated shutdown, and criticized members of his own party.
Senator Fetterman’s tendency to side with Republicans in the Senate over key issues has caused his support among Republicans to grow during this term. He has promised to never vote to shut the government down, even as members of the Democratic party continue to use federal government shutdowns as political leverage.
MorningConsult found that Republican Senator Dave McCormick has an approval rating of 45% with voters compared to a 33% disapproval rating.
Fetterman’s declining support among Democratic voters has prompted the Pennsylvania Working Families Party, a progressive group, to publicly encourage potential primary challengers for 2028.
