Affordability and Job Growth Main Focus of Vice President JD Vance’s Lehigh Valley Visit

The vice president visited a Uline Shipping Supplies warehouse on Tuesday. Afterwards, he visited the Allentown Rescue Mission.

Vice President JD Vance visited a Uline Shipping Supplies warehouse in the Lehigh Valley to speak on the nation’s economic outlook under President Donald Trump’s leadership.

Vance addressed the crowd, highlighting a jobs report that showed the American economy created 61,000 new jobs in November alone. This was a significant recovery from a loss of 105,000 jobs in October.

“There is no person more impatient to solve the affordability crisis than Donald J. Trump, the president of the United States,” Vance said with a banner that said, “Lower prices, bigger paychecks.”

About 600 people attended the vice president’s address in the Lehigh Valley.

Vance reflected on the impacts of Biden-era inflation on the American people. He said the effects of inflation were the equivalent of families losing $3,000 from their bank accounts.

Under the Trump administration, Vance said, families will see $1,000 added to their bank accounts because of the improving economy and Trump’s policies.

“If you look at every single affordability crisis that we talk about in the United States of America today, it’s because we inherited a nightmare of an economy from Joe Biden,” Vance said during his address

Vance echoed what the Trump administration has been focused on since the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill in July: American families should start reaping the benefits once tax return season hits. Under the landmark legislation, Trump ended income taxes on tips, overtime, and Social Security. The mega bill created new savings accounts for newborn Americans and preserved the child tax credit.

“That’s more money in your pocket because you have a president and a Congress that are fighting for you for a change, and that’s exactly as it should be,” the vice president said.

Following his stop at the Uline Shipping Supplies warehouse, Vance visited downtown Allentown at the Allentown Rescue Mission.

The Lehigh Valley visit comes as Republicans are focused on keeping battleground congressional seats in the Commonwealth with the midterm elections approaching.
