Three Arrested in Connection with Shoe Store Theft Ring

The arrests took place in and around Philadelphia, as well as in New Jersey. 

Three Philadelphia men have been arrested for a string of thefts occurring in shoe stores in the Philadelphia region. 

The Philadelphia Police Department Retail Theft Initiative identified and apprehended Darryl Foreman, 31, Demil Coley, also known as Demil Allen-Coley, 32, and Malik Williams, 31. 

Foreman was held on $180,000 bail. Coley was held on $90,000 bail with multiple out-of-jurisdiction warrants and detainers pending. Williams is in custody at SCI Coal Township and being held on $30,000 bail for one Philadelphia theft with an active warrant and detainer issued for four additional Philadelphia thefts. 

The men are believed to be responsible for 22 organized thefts

Between February 3rd and March 22nd, an estimated $28,500 in merchandise was stolen from the stores. Ten of the thefts occurred in Philadelphia, amounting to approximately $15,000 worth of stolen shoes. 

In surrounding counties and New Jersey, 12 thefts occurred with a total of approximately $13,500 in merchandise. The three men that were apprehended will be charged with multiple counts of Retail Theft, Organized Retail Theft, and Criminal Conspiracy. 

Law enforcement agencies in the region are working to identify additional suspects involved with the crime. The investigation is currently ongoing. Those with information are asked to contact the Philadelphia Police Department.
